Gameplay in the style of a psychological horror
The game offers a choice of perspective: first-person (FPP) or third-person (TPP). It can be freely switched during gameplay, which is quite significant, as individual scenes look slightly different, depending on the camera we choose.
Main protagonist and her impact on the gameplay
Unlike most previous installments of the series, which were hardcore survival horrors with a large dose of combat scenes, in Resident Evil Requiem the developers decided to turn towards psychological horror. It is worth noting that the fast-paced action and other elements for which the series is famous for are still here. Nonetheless, unlike Claire Redfield and other protagonists we’ve had the chance to play as before, Grace Ashcroft does not have much combat experience, which makes her move noticeably slower, and fighting is not her strongest suit.
